IKF All Ireland welterweight champ Alex Novac took the laurels in an international bout against Andrew Davis from Wales.Novac, who holds the title at 67kg, weighed in at 69.5 for the fight on Sunday while the Welshman tipped the scales at 71.9kg. Novac will now drop back to welterweight to make a mandatory first defence of his title against No 1 contender John O' Shea on October 17 and this fight will again be in Kilkenny.
